Who am I ?
Hi,
I’m Asya. I’m 22 years old. I live in Turkey, and I study in Abant İzzet Baysal University. My
deparment is English Language Teaching Department .
What is my goal ?
My
aim is to teach English with my knowledge, ideas, feeling and motivation. I try
to be a light for my students to find their own way.
Where am I ?
Learning
a language is like always being on road. No matter how far you go, you stil
have way to go further.So, I am on way. I try to learn something new everyday. Pedagogy
and human psyhology are my focuses. Because, learning and teaching something
needs motivation, energy, and happiness.
If a student is relaxed and pleased in
lesson, learning comes automatically.
How am I ?
I
usually feel insufficent about my work. I always try to improve myself.
Being a teacher requires reading and
writing. If I do them, my students take me as a role model. Being a real teacher is hard, but not
impossible.
Why did I choose ELT ?
Because,
a teacher makes a difference. When I was in high school , I wasn’t good at English. I wanted to learn history . Unfortunately, I had
already determined my department. I didn’t want to go on. Then, one day, my
teacher forced me to enter an English poem competition. Writing a poem was
really diffucult for me. Finally, I wrote a poem and I gave it to my teacher. Then,
I tried to write so many poems. In the following
years, I participated that competition again. I couldn’t be first, second or third. However,
I loved English. I learnt lots of new
words, patterns, and feeling . In other
words, a teacher can change everthing in someone’s life. Therefore, I am a
teacher.
